Thanks for all these points. I did try to research the train information online, obviously unsuccessfully - that's the internet for you! But this is all good stuff and I can tweak it should the story get republished. Thanks again!Andrew Hookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14610690208258599992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7915078903290331507.post-72455812141645793172014-01-31T09:08:39.669+00:002014-01-31T09:08:39.669+00:00Hi Andrew - you're very welcome! I had my editor's head on when I read it and honestly, the stuff I highlighted is pretty minor. I know it's a work of fiction but I guess you have to ground it in an accurate reality and there is no working railway line to Keswick so you couldn't get a train back there from Cockermouth. The whole "Lake Windermere" thing is about tautology, the only "Lake" in the Lake District is Bassenthwaite, all the others have -Water or -Mere in their names. I know people refer to "Lake Ullswater" or "Lake Windermere" but I don't think a local would so it didn't ring true seeing it in the story. The "Welsh" typo I mention was a substitution of "u" with "a" in the word Cumbrian (it happened twice) thereby making the character Cambrian. As I say, minor points, it really is a great story.Anthony Watsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06992065094913929889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7915078903290331507.post-80561707485969561252014-01-28T16:55:54.396+00:002014-01-28T16:55:54.396+00:00Thanks for the great comments on my story! In particular, which is the Welsh typo? Cheers! AndrewAndrew Hookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14610690208258599992noreply@blogger.com
